Bilaspur: A sudden landslide on Tuesday evening struck a bus in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Incident took place near Bhallu Bridge in the Barthin area of Jhanduta assembly.
Bus was carrying about 30 passengers when a large chunk of earth and rock collapsed onto it.
At least 18 people have died so far, and many others are injured.
Rescue teams, along with locals, rushed to the spot and began efforts to pull people from wreckage.
Injured have been sent to hospitals in Ghumarwin and Jhanduta for medical treatment.
Heavy rains in area over the past few days likely weakened the hills, triggering disaster.
