New Delhi: India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in the Asia Cup 2025. But Shiv Sena (Thackeray group) MP Sanjay Raut has attacked match, saying Pakistan earned a huge amount of money from it.

Raut’s shocking statement

Raut said that the Pakistan Cricket Board got ₹1,000 crore from this match. He also claimed that around ₹1.5 lakh crore betting took place, out of which ₹25,000 crore went to Pakistan. He warned that this money could be used against India.

He said, “Playing with Pakistan means making our enemies stronger. We don’t care if Pakistan wins or loses. Such matches are useless. For money, you played the game instead of boycotting it.”

Handshake issue

After the match, Indian players did not shake hands with Pakistani players. BJP leaders praised this act, but Raut said, “Is this really an answer to the Pahalgam terror attack? Our soldiers gave their lives, and you think not shaking hands is enough? The public is not foolish.”

Suryakumar Yadav’s tribute

After the win, India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav gave tribute to those who died in the Pahalgam terror attack. He said, “This win is for our brave soldiers. Their courage inspires us, and we will keep playing for them.”
