New Delhi: Asia Cup 2025 has taken a new twist. Tomorrow (Sept 17), Pakistan is set to play against UAE. But this match may not happen, as Pakistan has warned it could leave tournament.

On Sept 14, India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets. At toss and after the game, Indian players did not shake hands with Pakistani players. Pakistan complained to ICC and asked for match referee Andy Pycroft to be removed.

ICC refused. They said Pycroft was not responsible for handshake issue. Pakistan then threatened to boycott rest of tournament, but ICC did not agree.

Right now, Pakistan is second in Group A with 1 win from 2 matches. UAE also has 1 win. If Pakistan does not play the match, UAE will get 2 free points and reach Super-4 stage. Pakistan will be out of the Asia Cup.

India already in Super-4
India has won both matches against Pakistan and UAE. With 4 points, India is already in Super-4.
