Patna: After taking oath again as CM of Bihar, Nitish Kumar has announced distribution of ministries in his new government. A total of 24 ministers took oath with him, and most major departments have gone to the BJP this time.
For last twenty years, Nitish Kumar himself handled the Home Ministry. But now he has given the Home portfolio to BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary, marking a major shift in his cabinet.
Many important ministries are now controlled by BJP ministers. Some of them include:
- Vijay Kumar Sinha – Revenue and Mines
- Mangal Pandey – Health and Law
- Nitin Nabin – Urban Development and Road Construction
- Ram Kripal Yadav – Agriculture
- Shreyasi Singh – IT and Sports
- Surendra Mehta – Animal Husbandry and Fisheries
- Narayan Prasad – Disaster Management
- Pramod Chandra Vamshi – Cooperatives and Environment
Allies Also Get Ministries
Other alliance parties have also received departments:
- Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) – Sugarcane Industry & Public Health Engineering
- HAM (Jitan Ram Manjhi) – Minor Water Resources
- Upendra Kushwaha’s Party – Panchayati Raj
Portfolios Still Pending
Out of 24 ministers, departments for six ministers have not been announced yet. This delay has started political discussions about possible reshuffling and power balance within the coalition.
