Mumbai: Ten day Ganesh festival ended today on Anant Chaturdashi. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, with his wife Amruta and family, prayed to Lord Ganesha at his official home Varsha and then performed the idol immersion.
He also gave a message about saving the environment and asked people of state to celebrate peacefully with brotherhood.
In morning, Fadnavis family did special prayers and aarti. Later, they immersed Lord Ganesha in a simple and traditional way, as they do every year. Family members and close friends were present.

After immersion, Fadnavis said, “We completed Ganpati’s immersion today after 10 days of worship. The whole state received Bappa’s blessings. I request everyone to maintain peace and follow law and order.” He also said that Ganesh Utsav is not only a religious event but also a festival of unity and culture in Maharashtra.
DCM Ajit Pawar also gave wishes to people on Anant Chaturdashi. He visited famous Dagadusheth Ganpati in Pune and prayed for peace and prosperity of the state. He said the Ganesh festival is deeply linked with Maharashtra’s faith and brings people together.
