“After 25 years, I am retiring from cricket. This game has been my first love, my teacher, and the biggest source of happiness in my life. The journey has been full of emotions. I thank the BCCI, Haryana Cricket Association, my coaches, staff, teammates, and especially the fans whose support gave me strength at every step. From the struggles of my early days to unforgettable moments on the field, every chapter has shaped me as a cricketer and as a person. I am grateful to my family, teammates, and mentors for standing by me. Cricket has given me everything, and now I wish to give something back to the game,” Mishra said in his statement.
