New Delhi: Asia Cup 2025 will start on Sept 9. India and Pakistan are in same group, and their big match is set for Sept 14.
At first, many thought India might skip the match. But after the govt’s decision, it is confirmed that Team India will play against Pakistan. Some people agree with this decision, while others are against it.
Sports Ministry makes rules for India’s participation in cricket and other sports.
These rules are made carefully to protect players and sports bodies.
If India refuses to play Pakistan in a tournament like Asia Cup, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) or ICC could punish India.This could also harm the future of young players.
India will not play bilateral series (only India vs Pakistan matches).
But India will play in multi-team tournaments like Asia Cup or World Cup.
So, India and Pakistan will surely meet on Sept 14. If both teams reach next rounds, they could play again on Sept 21, and maybe even in final.
