Amravati: Maharashtra politics has become tense after a recent remark by cabinet minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil about farm loan waivers. His comment upset many farmers.
Prahar organization chief and MLA Bachchu Kadu reacted very strongly. He said that anyone who damages Vikhe Patil’s car will get a reward of one lakh rupees from him. He even warned that if he sees the minister’s car himself, he will break it.
Kadu also criticised CM Devendra Fadnavis, saying that CM talks about loan waivers, but his own ministers insult farmers. He called the statement a serious disrespect to farmers and asked the government to take strict action.
Earlier, Vikhe Patil had said that some farmers take loans on purpose because they expect the government to waive them later. This statement angered farmer groups and opposition leaders.
After Kadu’s strong reaction, political situation in the state has heated up. Discussions and arguments are going on on social media. Administration is keeping a close watch and checking the matter to avoid any trouble.
