New Delhi: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is searching for a new main sponsor for the Indian cricket team. This comes after Dream11 ended its deal because the government has banned real money gaming under the Online Gaming Act, 2025.

Dream11 and My11Circle had earlier given almost ₹1,000 crore for sponsorships in Indian cricket. Dream11 had a three-year deal worth ₹358 crore, but it is leaving one year before contract ends.

Rules for New Sponsors

BCCI has set some clear rules
Companies linked to betting, gambling, real money gaming, or cryptocurrency cannot take part.

Companies selling alcohol, tobacco, or content that may upset public values are not allowed.

Some business types are blocked because BCCI already has sponsors (like Adidas for sportswear, Campa Cola for cold drinks, IDFC First Bank, and SBI Life).

No company can hide behind another brand name to bid.

To qualify, companies must have made at least ₹300 crore in turnover or net worth on average in the last three years.

Last date to buy bidding documents: September 12

Last date to send bids: September 16

Senior BCCI official said Dream11 will not be fined for leaving early, since the exit was caused by a govt rule and not by non-payment.

BCCI also said it can change or cancel the bidding process anytime.
