Mumbai: Election Commission is expected to announce schedule for Bihar Assembly elections today at 4 PM during a press conference.
Chief Election Commissioner recently visited Bihar to check how ready the state is for the polls. Officials say the Special Intensive Revision process has been completed and verified.
As soon as dates are announced, Model Code of Conduct will start, and election rules for political parties will come into effect.
There is also talk that the voting may take place after the Chhath festival so that people from Bihar living in other states can come home to vote.
