The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) today handed over lease agreements for three prime commercial plots in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) to international investors in a ceremony presided over by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The lease agreements have fetched MMRDA a substantial revenue of ₹3,840.49 crore, paving the way for the creation of approximately 15,000 high-tech jobs.
Chief Minister Fadnavis presented the allotment letters to Japan-based Sumitomo Realty & Development Ltd for two plots and Brookfield Strategic Real Estate for one plot. The event was attended by key officials, including Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Vikas Kharge, Principal Secretary to the CM Ashwini Bhide, Additional Chief Secretary Asimkumar Gupta, MMRDA Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, and a delegation from Japan.

The C-13 and C-19 plots in BKC were secured by Goisu Realty Pvt. Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of Sumitomo Realty & Development Ltd., through the highest bids. The C-80 plot was won by a consortium comprising Sklos Bangalore Ltd. (the Indian arm of Brookfield Strategic Real Estate Partners 3), Arliga Eco Space Business Park, and Sklos Chanakya Pvt. Ltd., also through the highest bid.
