Mumbai: Actor Bobby Deol, who recently impressed audiences with his performance in The Ba*ds of Bollywood, has shared a personal chapter of his life when he battled with insecurity and low confidence.

Bobby recalled a time when he often felt left out and ignored in social gatherings. He admitted that during those years, he stayed away from the spotlight because he thought he wasn’t important enough. “Even at parties, I would stand quietly in a corner. I felt people didn’t notice me or care to talk to me,” he said.

Actor revealed that his wife would often remind him not to underestimate himself. But it took years of struggle for him to realise that failures teach valuable lessons. “I understood that success should never be taken for granted. If you become arrogant, it can disappear just as quickly,” Bobby added.

A Journey of Highs and Lows

Bobby Deol, son of veteran actor Dharmendra, began his career with Barsaat in 1995, which won him the Filmfare Best Debut Award. He later delivered popular films like Gupt, Soldier, Ajnabee and Humraaz.

However, his career slowed down in the mid-2000s, with fewer films and opportunities. His strong return came with the hit web series Aashram, followed by powerful roles in Class of ’83, Love Hostel, Animal and the Netflix series The Ba*ds of Bollywood.

*What’s Next for Bobby Deol?*
Bobby is now gearing up for Alpha, a Yash Raj Films project starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. The movie is expected to release in theatres on 25 December 2025.
