India Morning News
Mumbai: At his Dussehra rally in Mumbai, Shiv Sena (Thackeray group) leader Uddhav Thackeray strongly criticised BJP and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.
Thackeray said that during COVID-19 pandemic he was rated the No.1 Chief Minister in India, but in a new ranking Yogi Adityanath is first and Maharashtra’s CM is tenth.
He accused central govt of ignoring farmers in state.
Maharashtra’s farmers are suffering but getting no help. In Bihar, before elections, women got ₹10,000 in their accounts. But nothing came for our farmers. They have the money but don’t want to help us,” he said.
On Hindutva, he attacked the BJP:
They insult Muslims and call them traitors, but at the same time RSS chief meets Muslim leaders. Don’t teach us Hindutva. First remove the green stripe from your flag,” Thackeray warned.
Fadnavis’ Quick Counter
Fadnavis answered with sarcasm:
I had promised 1,000 if anyone found a development issue in Thackeray’s speech. I asked journalists there was none. So my 1,000 is saved. Thank you, Uddhav ji,” he said.
He added that when people get frustrated, they say random things and it’s best not to take them seriously.
