President: India Nearing Goal of Becoming a Developed Nation

New Delhi: The country marked Constitution Day with a special program held in Central Hall of the old Parliament building. President Droupadi Murmu led the event. The Vice President, Prime Minister, ministers, and many MPs were also present.

At the event, President launched the Constitution in nine Indian languages Marathi, Malayalam, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia, and Assamese. These new translated copies have been officially shared with the public for the first time.

She read out the Preamble, and the hall filled with a strong sense of pride and unity.

President Murmu said that India has become a strong example of democracy. She mentioned that many important decisions in recent years have helped the country grow and protected people’s rights.

She added that India’s dream of becoming a developed nation is now very close, and urged citizens to follow the values written in the Constitution.

She also reminded everyone that 26 November 1949 was the day when India received its final Constitution, prepared under the guidance of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
President encouraged all citizens to take part in the nation’s progress and to support democratic values.
