Speed Skating
Championship, approved by the Nagpur District Roller Skating Association
(NDRSA), at the NIT Skating Ring. The event witnessed an overwhelming
participation of around 400 students across various age groups, competing in four
distinct categories. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the recipient
of prestigious Shiv Chhatrapati Award – Ms. Kasturi Tamhankar, a renowned
skater who has brought immense pride to India. Mr Upendra Verma, Secretary of
Nagpur District Roller Skating Association along with Aditi Dhande, another recipient
of prestigious Shiv Chhatrapati Award – graced the event as Guest of honour Guest.
The championship not only offered a platform for competitive spirit but also
encouraged the participants to develop resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Ms. Tamhankar, in her inspiring address, congratulated all the winners and
encouraged each participant to continue striving for excellence.
Ms. Nidhi Yadav, Principal of DPS MIHAN, congratulated the all the skaters for their
active participation & expressed her gratitude to the NDRSA for their invaluable
support in organizing the event. She also applauded Mr. Abhilash Bhusari HOD,
SPORTS along with the entire Sports department for the successful conduct of the
event.
