Mumbai: Since Monday night, many false messages were spreading on social media saying that veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra had passed away. On Tuesday morning, his daughter Esha Deol stopped these rumours.
She posted on Instagram, “Media is spreading wrong news. My father is stable and getting better. Please give our family somey privacy and pray for his fast recovery.” She also turned off comments on her post so people cannot spread more rumours.
Under treatment at Breach Candy Hospital
Dharmendra, 89, has been in Breach Candy Hospital for a week due to breathing problems. On Monday, his health got worse and doctors kept him under close observation.
His wife Hema Malini, sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and grandsons Karan and Rajveer visited him at the hospital. Hema Malini also posted that Dharmendra is under observation and doctors are watching him carefully. She asked everyone to pray for him.
Film industry sends good wishes
Many Bollywood stars visited the hospital after hearing about his condition. Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, Salman Khan, Govinda and Ameesha Patel met the family and wished Dharmendra a speedy recovery.
Fans are also praying for him on social media. Dharmendra is loved for his roles in films like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Dharam Veer and Dream Girl. He was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and will soon appear in Ikkis.
