Nashik: Former MLA Nirmala Gavit was badly injured in Nashik when a car hit her from behind. The incident happened near her home while she was walking with her grandson. The sudden impact threw her a few feet away. She is now in the ICU of a private hospital.
Gavit had won the Igatpuri Assembly seat in 2014 and later joined the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde.
Video Raises Questions
A video of the accident has now come out. It clearly shows the car hitting her directly from behind, which has surprised many people.
Her daughter, Nayana Gavit, has said that even after 24 hours, the car driver has not been caught. She has asked the police to investigate properly and find out whether this was a simple accident or something suspicious.Luckily, Gavit’s grandson was not hurt.
