New Delhi: India trail 0–1 in the two-match Test series against South Africa, and the second Test will begin on 22 November in Guwahati. Ahead of the match, India suffered a major setback as Shubman Gill, who injured his neck during the first Test, has been ruled out. He has travelled to Mumbai for treatment, and Rishabh Pant will lead the side in the next Test.
Cricket analyst Aakash Chopra revealed that head coach Gautam Gambhir delivered a strong message to the players. Gambhir reportedly said that if players feel tired or burdened by workload, they may skip the IPL or step down from captaincy, but they should not cite mental or fitness excuses when playing for India.
