High alert in India after prisoners escape Nepal

New Delhi:   For last four days, Nepal is facing big violence. Trouble started when the govt blocked some social media apps. Students and young people came on the streets. The protest soon turned violent.

Angry people set fire to Nepal’s Parliament building and attacked the houses of ministers. Many people were killed and there was huge damage.

15,000 Prisoners Escape

During the chaos, 15,000 prisoners escaped from jails near the India–Nepal border. This has created a big danger for India.

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) said that in the last two days, 60 prisoners have been caught. Out of them, 22 were caught in Uttar Pradesh, 10 in Bihar, and 3 in West Bengal. Some prisoners even said they are Indian citizens, so the police are checking their details.

India Increases Security

Because of the unrest in Nepal, India has made the border more secure. Police in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal are on high alert. More prisoners may try to enter India.

Villages near the border are under watch, and checking is going on. Indian govt has also told all states to stay careful.
