Maharashtra Cabinet: 4 Big Decisions, Farmers Get Relief

Mumbai: On Tuesday, CM Devendra Fadnavis led a state cabinet meeting. Govt took four important decisions for farmers and cities.

1. Cheap Electricity for Farmers

Govt will continue electricity discount for all lift irrigation schemes till March 2027. This will help 1,789 schemes and many farmers in Maharashtra.

2. Irrigation Repair in Akola

Money has been approved to repair small irrigation projects in Ghonga and Kandi villages of Akola district. This will give more water for farming.

3. Water Supply and City Projects

State will take a loan of ₹2,000 crore from HUDCO to improve city facilities.

₹822 crore for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar water supply

₹116 crore for Mira-Bhayandar water supply

₹268 crore for 4 sewage projects in Nagpur

4. Land for Central Agency in Raigad

Govt will give 4 hectares of land in Asudgaon, Panvel (Raigad district) to the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB). Houses will be built there for officers and staff.
