The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has officially declared the Class 12 (HSC) results today, May 5, 2025, at 11 AM in a press conference held by the Board Chairman Sharad Gosavi. This year, the state recorded an impressive overall pass percentage of 91.88%, while Nashik division stood at 91.31%, ranking seventh among the nine divisions.
In Nashik, 1,58,593 students had registered, of which 1,57,842 appeared, and 1,44,136 students successfully passed the examination.
Here’s the division-wise performance:
Konkan topped the chart with a stellar 96.74%
Followed by
Kolhapur (93.64%), Mumbai (92.93%), and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (92.24%)
Other divisions include
Pune (91.32%), Amravati (91.43%), Nashik (91.31%), Nagpur (90.52%), and Latur (89.46%)
Stream-wise performance:
Science: 97.35%
Commerce: 92.68%
Arts: 80.52%
Vocational Courses: 83.03%
ITI: 82.03%

While the results bring relief, concerns loom over 124 exam centres flagged for malpractices. An inquiry has been launched, and if found guilty, these centres may be permanently de-recognized. In total, 374 instances of cheating were reported, with Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar recording a shocking 214 cases. Board Chairman Gosavi also announced that a new syllabus for HSC will be implemented in the 2027–28 academic year.
