Mumbai: Bombay HC heard a petition about ongoing Maratha reservation protest by Manoj Jarange Patil at Azad Maidan.

Judges said protest has gone out of control. Roads, railway stations, and public places were blocked. Videos showed people bathing, playing games, and stopping traffic in busy areas like CSMT, Marine Drive, and Flora Fountain. Even judges’ cars were stopped.
Important points:
Permission was only for 5,000 people at Azad Maidan from 9 am to 6 pm.
Protesters broke rules by gathering in huge numbers, setting up tents, using loudspeakers, and blocking roads.
Hunger strike was not allowed under rules.
High Court said state must take action to restore order. It also said it is concerned about Jarange Patil’s health but stressed that Mumbai city cannot be stopped.
Next hearing will be held tomorrow at 3 pm, where govt must show if orders were followed.
