New Delhi: Good news for cricket fans! Chennai Super Kings’ most famous captain MS Dhoni will play in the IPL 2026 season. For many days, people were asking if Dhoni would retire or play again. Now, CSK’s CEO Kasi Viswanathan has ended all the rumours.
He said, “MS Dhoni has told us clearly that he will be available for the next season.” So, it’s confirmed Dhoni will play in IPL 2026!
Dhoni’s amazing career
Since the first IPL season in 2008, Dhoni has been the main face of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He has played 248 matches and scored 4,865 runs. Under his captaincy, CSK won the IPL five times in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023.
Except for two years when CSK was banned, Dhoni has always worn the yellow jersey. The IPL 2026 season will be his 19th IPL and 17th season for CSK.
After this big news, CSK fans are full of joy. Social media is filled with “Dhoni! Dhoni!” chants and celebration posts. Once again,Chennai stadium will roar for their “Thala”.
