Nagpur: Eight day of Shardiya Navratri 2025 is being observed todus across India with devotion and enthusiasm. This day is dedicated to Maa Mahagauri, the eighth form of Goddess Durga.

Who is Maa Mahagauri?

In Hindu tradition, Maa Mahagauri represents purity, peace and compassion. Her name means “extremely fair” and she is often compared to the moon or a conch shell. She is usually shown riding a bull (Nandi) and dressed in white, a symbol of serenity and calmness.

Significance of Day 8 of Navratri

Day 8 of Navratri is considered very auspicious. Devotees perform special puja rituals, chant mantras and offer prayers to Maa Mahagauri for happiness, health and prosperity. Many families also arrange Kanya Pujan or Kumari Puja on this day.

Colour of the Day

The colour for Day 8 of Navratri 2025 is pink. Pink stands for love, harmony and affection. Devotees wear pink clothes while offering prayers, as it is believed to attract the blessings of the goddess and spread positive energy.
