Mumbai:On ninth and final day of Navratri, devotees worship Maa Siddhidatri, the goddess of knowledge, power, and spiritual fulfillment. Maa Siddhidatri is depicted sitting on a lotus with four hands, holding a conch, mace, lotus, and discus, and rides a lion like Goddess Durga.
Early in morning, devotees are advised to take a bath, perform meditation, and clean the worship area. Sprinkle Ganga water and place an image or idol of Maa Siddhidatri. Offer roli, sandalwood, rice, incense, flowers, fruits, sweets, coconut, and a ceremonial cloth during the puja.
For prasad, devotees prepare laddoo, poori, and chickpeas. Light a lamp and perform aarti, distributing prasad to family members. On this day, worship nine young girls representing the nine forms of goddess, complete your fast, and perform a havan to mark the conclusion of Navratri celebrations.
