New Delhi: India’s javelin throw player Neeraj Chopra has made it to final of World Athletics Championship in Tokyo.
In qualifying round on Wednesday, Neeraj threw javelin 84.85 meters on his first try. Mark needed to qualify was 84.50 meters, so Neeraj crossed it easily.
Final will be held tomorrow (Thursday). In this match, Neeraj may face Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem.
Neeraj was only player who qualified in first round. Others could not do it so quickly.
Earlier, Neeraj won a gold medal in 2023 at the World Championship in Hungary with a throw of 88.17 meters. Arshad Nadeem is the Olympic champion, so final will be very exciting.
