Mumbai: BJP leader Nitesh Rane has responded to the raid done by Nilesh Rane at the house of party worker Vijay Kenwadikar in Malvan.
He said the issue is being shown in the wrong way.
Nitesh Rane explained that people in politics also have their own jobs and businesses.
“Some run hotels, some work in tourism, some have shops. Everyone has personal income. So business money moving in and out is normal. There is nothing wrong in that,” he said.
He also said he does not want to get involved in fights and allegations. The Election Commission and police are already checking the matter. “We should not interfere. Let the inquiry bring out the truth,” he added.
According to him, Vijay Kenwadikar has been doing business for many years, and he does not believe any wrongdoing happened.
Nitesh Rane said the BJP does not need money power.
“We have leaders like PM Modi and Devendra Fadnavis. We are contesting the election based on development and government schemes,” he said.
‘We will stick to development issues’
He added that no matter how many accusations are made, BJP will continue talking only about development. “We don’t need to distribute money. People have already benefited from Modi’s schemes. Till the last day of campaigning, we will speak only about development,” he said.
