Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not yet chosen its new national president. The election is being delayed again and again. It is said that the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are not able to agree on one name. Because of this, J.P. Nadda is still continuing as party president.

Union Minister and former BJP president Nitin Gadkari was asked about this issue. “Why is BJP not able to select a new president? Is there a problem between BJP and RSS?”

Gadkari, who is known for his witty style, smiled and said: “Your question is correct, but you asked the wrong person. You should ask J.P. Nadda about this. He is the right person to answer.”

In recent days, PM Narendra Modi has praised RSS and its chief Mohan Bhagwat many times. On Independence Day, Modi called RSS “world’s biggest NGO.” He also wrote articles in newspapers on Bhagwat’s 75th birthday, praising him. Home Minister Amit Shah also said that being an RSS worker can never be a negative point.

J.P. Nadda has been BJP president since 2020. His term was extended until party chooses a new president. Before him, Amit Shah was president from 2014 to 2020, and Gadkari was president from 2010 to 2013.
