Mumbai: Senior leader Prakash Mahajan has left Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). He posted a video saying party only used him for election campaigning and later ignored him.
Mahajan said he never wanted a post or ticket. “I only wanted to work for Hindutva. But instead of respect, I got neglect,” he said.
He also said he felt sorry because he had promised Amit Thackeray to work with him, but now he could not keep that promise. Mahajan thanked MNS workers for their love and said he is leaving to get peace of mind.
Earlier, on June 24, 2025, Mahajan had said that if Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray did not come together, Marathi people would not forgive them. “One mistake can push Marathi people 100 years back,” he warned.
In July 2025, Mahajan had also spoken about being sidelined in MNS after his comments and a clash with BJP leader Narayan Rane. Amit Thackeray had tried to talk to him, but Raj Thackeray did not meet him.
Now, with his resignation, Mahajan has ended his journey with MNS
