Parbhani: In a significant push for urban development, the Parbhani Municipal Corporation reviewed ongoing projects and proposed a Rs 100 crore funding plan under the District Annual Plan 2025-26, submitted to the District Planning Committee. The meeting, attended by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, saw key decisions aimed at transforming the city’s infrastructure.
State-of-the-Art Theatre and Administrative Building The corporation proposed Rs 13 crore for constructing a modern 1,000-seat theatre to boost the city’s cultural landscape. Additionally, Rs 40 crore was sought for a new administrative building to streamline municipal operations.These projects are expected to significantly enhance Parbhani’s cultural and administrative capabilities.
To promote sustainable development, the civic body plans to install solar-powered traffic signals, with a funding request of Rs 5 crore. This initiative is anticipated to reduce energy consumption and contribute to environmental conservation.State Government’s Assurance
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar assured the state government’s positive stance towards the proposed projects. The successful implementation of these initiatives is expected to chart a new course for Parbhani’s development.
