Mumbai: The third edition of the Pharma Live Expo & Summit 2025 opened today at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, drawing thousands of pharmaceutical, MedTech, and healthcare professionals from across the globe. Running through April 19, this three-day event, themed “Next-Gen Pharma – Pioneering Global Excellence Together,” promises to set a new benchmark for innovation, collaboration, and strategic foresight in the South Asian pharmaceutical landscape.
Organized by ICEXPO Consults and supported by industry bodies like the Federation of Pharmaceutical and Allied Products Merchant Exporters (FPME), the expo features over 225 exhibitors and expects more than 20,000 visitors, including delegates from over 20 countries. The event addresses transformative trends such as precision medicine, AI-driven drug discovery, sustainable packaging, digital health innovations, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
A Platform for Collaboration and Innovation
At the inauguration, Mr. Shereef Rehuman, Managing Director and CEO of ICEXPO Consults, highlighted the event’s role in advancing global healthcare. “Pharma Live Expo & Summit 2025 showcases India’s leadership in pharmaceuticals and MedTech. This platform unites science, strategy, and solutions to drive meaningful change across the sector,” he said.
The day began with vibrant networking and exhibition visits, spotlighting cutting-edge solutions in pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, healthcare IT, diagnostics, cosmeceuticals, and packaging. The afternoon featured a key session on “Pharma Disruptions & Trends,” moderated by Mr. Vijay Kshirsagar, Director & CEO of TRAC Pharma Consulting. The panel, including Mr. Rahul Gupta (USV Private Limited), Mr. Manoj Chitnis (JB Pharma), Mr. Nilesh Gandhi, and Dr. Dilip Pawar, discussed personalized medicine, regulatory trends, and patient-centric therapeutic development.
AI and Regulatory Insights Take Centre Stage
Mr. Ranjit Barshikar, CEO of QbD International and United Nations Adviser, delivered a compelling presentation on AI’s role in revolutionizing pharmaceutical R&D, enhancing speed and accuracy in drug discovery. Dr. Gaurav Pratap Singh Jadaun from the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission provided updates on the modernization and harmonization of the Indian Pharmacopoeia, underscoring its importance for global compliance.
A significant feature of the summit is its Knowledge Partnership with the National Accreditation Board for Cold Chain Management (NAB-CCM), ensuring data-driven discussions on compliance, logistics, and sustainable practices.

Day 1’s enthusiasm sets an optimistic tone for the remaining days. Day 2 will explore serialization, sustainable packaging, API scale-up, and regulatory challenges, while Day 3 will focus on green pharma innovations and predictive diagnostics for early disease detection.
