New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi spoke to Chief Justice BR Gavai after a lawyer created trouble during a hearing in the Supreme Court on Monday. Lawyer shouted slogans and tried to throw a shoe at Chief Justice. PM Modi showed anger over the act and praised the Chief Justice for staying calm.

PM Modi Praises CJI’s Calmness

PM Modi said that CJI Gavai’s peaceful and brave reaction showed his respect for the law and the Constitution. He added that such behavior in court is not acceptable.

Lawyer Causes Trouble in Court

During the hearing, lawyer Rakesh Kishore shouted that he would not allow any insult to Sanatan Dharma. Security officers quickly caught him and took him away for questioning.

CJI Gavai’s Response

CJI Gavai said, “Such acts don’t disturb us. The court will keep working as usual.” He continued the hearing without any break.

Lawyers’ Body Condemns the Act

The Supreme Court Advocates Association said the act was shameful and hurt the image of the court and the Chief Justice.
