Noida: PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 in Greater Noida on Thursday. He said that India’s growth remains strong and attractive, even when the world faces many problems and uncertainties.
PM Modi told gathering, “A country like Bharat cannot depend on others. Global disruptions do not stop us, instead they give us new directions. Our mantra is Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Trade show, with the theme “Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here”, is being held from 25 to 29 September.
Modi highlighted recent reforms in the Goods and Services Tax (GST). He said GST changes will give a big push to India’s growth and also help people save more money. He added that income tax exemption for those earning up to 12 lakh per year and GST 2.0 reforms will reduce the tax burden.
Talking about defence, he said India is developing a strong “Made in India” ecosystem. Production of AK-203 rifles will soon start at a new factory in Uttar Pradesh in partnership with Russia.
PM Modi urged more investment in research, innovation, and local manufacturing. He also invited global investors, saying, “India’s growth story is powerful, and our future is full of opportunities.”
