New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 on Wednesday. His birthday was marked with new welfare schemes, celebrations, and greetings from India and abroad.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched ‘Sewa Pakhwada’, a two-week service campaign. Blood donation camps, cleaning drives, and other public service events were held in BJP-ruled states, including Delhi.

World leaders also sent wishes. US President Donald Trump called Modi his “friend” and praised his efforts to help end the Russia-Ukraine war. Russia’s ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, said Modi has taken India-Russia ties to “new heights.”

President Droupadi Murmu wished the Prime Minister good health and a long life, praising his “strong leadership” and saying he is leading India towards progress.

Home Minister Amit Shah praised Modi for achievements like Covid vaccines, farmer welfare, space exploration, startups, and defence.
People across country celebrated the day in their own ways by donating blood, joining cleanliness drives, and praying for PM Modi’s good health.
