PMRDA Commissioner Dr Yogesh Mhase’s Leadership, Swift Action Ordered to Remove Hazardous Structures
Pune: In a decisive move, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has launched a robust campaign against illegal hoardings and encroachments. A high-level review meeting, chaired by Commissioner Dr Yogesh Mhase (IAS), resolved to take stringent measures to ensure public safety, particularly with the monsoon season and Ashadhi Wari approaching. Immediate action was ordered to dismantle unauthorised and hazardous hoardings across the city.

Legal Action: Criminal cases to be filed against those obstructing enforcement efforts.
Accountability for Agencies, Landowners: Advertisement agencies and property owners face legal consequences.
Clearing Natural Waterways: Measures to ensure unobstructed flow of natural drains.
Crackdown on Builders: Strict action against builders responsible for encroachments and debris dumping.
PMRDA reiterated its dedication to creating a safer and cleaner Pune, prioritising citizen safety through rigorous enforcement against illegal constructions and hoardings
