Pune:- On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Pune hosted the vibrant ‘Warkari Bhakti Yoga’ event, blending the ancient traditions of yoga and devotion. Thousands of Warkaris participated in yoga sessions, harmonizing physical well-being with spiritual peace, against the backdrop of the revered Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi processions. The event, held with great enthusiasm, was graced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Higher & Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil.
The program saw the presence of notable dignitaries, including Minister of State Madhuritai Misal, Kasba MLA Hemant Rasane, event organizer Rajesh Pandey, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Suresh Gosavi, Divisional Commissioner Chandrakant Phulkundwar, Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, District Collector Jitendra Dudi, and MLAs Bhimrao Tapkir, Sunil Kamble, and Siddharth Shirole.

Highlighting the essence of the Bhagavad Gita’s verse, “Yogasthah kuru karmani sangam tyaktva Dhananjaya, siddhyasiddhyoh samo bhutva samatvam yoga uchyate,” the event embodied equanimity in action. Alongside yoga asanas, the program featured soulful kirtans and spiritual discourses, resonating with the Warkari tradition.
Addressing the gathering, CM Fadnavis emphasized the synergy of yoga and bhakti, lauding the Warkari sect’s invaluable contribution to Maharashtra’s cultural and spiritual heritage. The event left attendees invigorated, with a renewed sense of spiritual energy and unity.
