Mumbai: Director Abhinav Kashyap has spoken strongly against Salman Khan. Abhinav, who made film Dabangg in 2010, said Salman does not care about acting. “For 25 years, Salman has not been serious about films. He only comes to work because of his name and power. He likes being a celebrity, not an actor. He is a goon. I realised this while working on Dabangg. Salman is rude and a bad person,” Abhinav said.
He also blamed Salman’s family. “They run Bollywood like their own system. If someone says no to them, they take revenge. They control everything,” he added.
Dabangg was produced by Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora. The film had Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Sonu Sood, Om Puri, Dimple Kapadia, Anupam Kher, and Mahesh Manjrekar. Later, Dabangg 2 (2012) was directed by Arbaaz Khan and Dabangg 3 (2019) by Prabhu Deva.
After Dabangg, Abhinav directed Besharam (2013) with Ranbir Kapoor. He has also acted in films like Paanch and Yuva, and worked on TV shows like Darr, Ssshhhh Koi Hai, Siddhant, and Dil Kya Chahta Hai.
Meanwhile, Salman was last seen in AR Murugadoss’ film Sikandar with Rashmika Mandanna. His next film is Battle of Galwan by Apoorva Lakhia, based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clashes, where he plays an Army soldier. He is also hosting Bigg Boss 19.
