Mumbai:
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has announced that he will be taking a two-month break from politics due to health problems.
Raut, a close confidant of Uddhav Thackeray and one of the key faces of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), posted a heartfelt note on X (formerly Twitter) saying that his health had suddenly worsened and doctors have advised him to take complete rest.
He was recently admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mulund after feeling unwell. Thanking his supporters, Raut wrote, “I’ll recover soon and meet you all in the new year. Your love and blessings mean a lot. Jai Maharashtra!”
His decision comes just months before the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, sparking discussions in Maharashtra’s political circles.
Raut is known for his strong speeches and political commentary, and his temporary absence may impact the UBT Shiv Sena’s campaign planning.
