Mumbai: Many people today are facing sleep problems because of stress and fast changing lifestyles. Trouble sleeping at night, waking up again and again, or getting up too early are common issues. Doctors say good sleep is very important for health. If sleep problems continue for long, they can harm both mind and body.
Some easy home tips can help improve sleep:
Warm milk: Drinking warm milk before bed can help you sleep better. Adding honey or turmeric can make the body relax.
Meditation or breathing : Doing deep breathing or meditation for 10–15 minutes before bed helps the mind calm down.
No mobile or TV: Stay away from phones, TV, or laptops at least half an hour before bed. Instead, read a book or listen to soft music.
Room setting : Keep the bedroom clean, quiet, and with dim light. Good smell with natural oils can also help.
Warm bath : Taking a warm shower before sleep relaxes the body and helps you fall asleep faster.
Doctors say if someone has sleep problems for a long time, they should meet a doctor. Not sleeping well can lead to serious problems like heart disease, diabetes, and stress.
