Raipur, Chhattisgarh : A serious accident took place on Friday at a private steel plant in Raipur. A part of the structure fell down, killing six workers and injuring six others.
Mishap happened at the Godavari Ispat Ltd plant in the Siltara area, on the edge of the city. Police said rescue teams reached the spot quickly after getting news.
Raipur SP Lal Umed Singh said, “The roof of the plant collapsed and some workers got trapped. So far, six bodies have been found and six injured workers have been taken to the hospital.”
Rescue work is still going on, as there may be more people stuck under the debris. The injured workers are being treated in hospital.
