In a shocking revelation, the Indian government has confirmed that 300–400 Turkish-made drones were used by Pakistan in a massive military escalation along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border following India’s Operation Sindoor. These drones, identified as Asis Guard Songar, allegedly supplied by Turkey, were deployed to violate Indian airspace at 36 locations — stretching from Ladakh to Gujarat — targeting both civilian and military sites.
During a special press briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that the drone incursion on the night of May 8–9 was a “deliberate provocation” to test India’s air defense systems and gather critical intelligence. Indian forces successfully neutralized several drones using kinetic and non-kinetic measures, and forensic examination is underway to confirm the origins.
The revelation has intensified scrutiny of Turkey’s growing military alliance with Pakistan. Notably, Ankara has neither condemned the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians nor offered condolences. Instead, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has openly backed Pakistan, holding high-level meetings with PM Shehbaz Sharif and expressing solidarity after India’s retaliatory strikes.
Turkey’s support has reportedly included six military cargo flights to Pakistan post-Pahalgam, with Turkish C-130 aircraft tracked by global surveillance systems. Additionally, Turkey deployed the naval warship TCG Bykada to Karachi in a move seen as aggressive posturing.
This incident is part of a growing trend: Turkey’s supply of high-end drones, naval corvettes, and weapons to Islamabad. Experts warn this Turkey-Pakistan axis could destabilize the region further.
As India remains on high alert, questions mount: Is Turkey silently backing terrorism by arming Pakistan? The government is now closely monitoring Ankara’s actions, raising diplomatic heat over what it calls “a shadow war through machines.”
