Two top maoist leaders killed in Narayanpur encounter

Chhattisgarh: Security forces achieved a big success in fight against Maoists after an intense gun battle in forests of Abujhmad on Monday. In the encounter, two senior Maoist central committee members were killed.

Operation began in morning and continued till evening. After a combing search, forces recovered the bodies of senior Maoist leaders Raju Dada alias Katta Ramchandra Reddy and Kosa Dada alias Kadari Satyanarayana Reddy. Both had a bounty of 40 lakh each on their heads.

From site, forces also seized one AK-47 rifle, one INSAS rifle, a BGL rocket launcher, and a large amount of explosives.

According to officials, both slain Maoist leaders had been active for over 30 years in the armed movement and were involved in several deadly attacks against security forces.

In last 15 days alone, security forces have eliminated four top Maoist central committee members in Chhattisgarh, delivering repeated setbacks to group.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been leading a mission to make India free from Naxal violence, and recent operations show the govt’s campaign is gaining significant results.
