Pune: Venus Traders marked its 51st anniversary with the grand inauguration of ‘Venus Art Fest 2025’, a much-anticipated art festival, by Rajya Sabha MP Medha Kulkarni. Held in Pune, the event featured an art competition and exhibition, continuing its 11-year tradition of fostering creativity among art enthusiasts of all ages, from schoolchildren to senior citizens.
Art Competition Showcases Diverse Talent
The art competition, a highlight of the festival, recognized winners in two categories: ‘Outstanding Artist’ and ‘Outstanding Young Artist’. Participants, including students, young adults, and seniors, presented captivating and thought-provoking artworks that left attendees in awe. “Each painting reflected the artist’s unique perspective and creativity, bringing joy to all who viewed them,” said MP Medha Kulkarni, applauding the participants’ efforts.

For over a decade, Venus Traders has provided a platform for artists to showcase their talent. This year’s competition and exhibition featured works exploring themes such as environmental conservation, social issues, cultural heritage, and personal emotions. “Venus Art Fest has become a vital platform for Pune’s artists, bringing together emerging and seasoned talents,” said Director of Venus Traders.
Launch of Vintage Pen Honoring Pu La Deshpande
A special highlight of the event was the unveiling of a vintage pen adorned with the handwriting of legendary Marathi writer Pu La Deshpande, adding a cultural and historical touch to the festivities. The unique keepsake was widely appreciated by attendees.

The event saw the presence of notable figures, including veteran artist Pramod Kamble, Dr. Sunil Ingle, Dr. Subhash Pawar, and Dr. Sudhakar Chavan, alongside numerous art lovers. “Venus Traders has made significant contributions to Pune’s cultural landscape. Such initiatives inspire the younger generation to embrace art,” remarked Pramod Kamble during his address.
