New Delhi: Many people using WhatsApp on their computer (web version) are facing a problem — they cannot scroll up or down in their chats.
On Tuesday, users posted on X (Twitter) saying they were stuck and could not move through messages. One person wrote, “Dear WhatsApp, we cannot scroll messages with mouse or touchpad. Please fix this soon.”
Tech experts said issue usually starts after opening the emoji or sticker panel. Some people found that refreshing the page helps for a short time. Others suggested not using stickers until WhatsApp fixes bug.
This problem is not new. Old Reddit posts show users complaining about chats freezing or suddenly jumping. Tricks like resizing the browser window or pressing the Alt key while scrolling have worked for some.
So far, WhatsApp’s parent company Meta has not given any official reply.
WhatsApp has faced such troubles before. In April, many users said their messages were not delivered. In February, more than 5,000 users worldwide reported similar issues.
With over 530 million people in India and nearly 3 billion users worldwide, any small glitch gets noticed quickly.
