In a shocking case from Pimpri-Chinchwad, police have arrested Chaitali Bhoir and her lover Siddharth Pawar for the murder of social worker Nakul Bhoir. The crime occurred during the Diwali festival, leaving the local community stunned.
According to police, Chaitali had been in a secret relationship with Siddharth. When Nakul discovered this affair, he warned her to end it. However, Chaitali continued meeting Siddharth, leading to frequent arguments between the couple.
Murder During Heated Argument
On the day of the murder, Nakul and Chaitali got into a major fight while Nakul was reportedly under the influence of alcohol. During the altercation, Chaitali attempted to strangle Nakul with a scarf. When Nakul resisted, Siddharth—who was also present—helped her pull the scarf tighter, killing Nakul on the spot.
CCTV Footage Revealed the Truth
After the murder, Chaitali tried to mislead the police by calling them herself and pretending to take the blame alone. However, investigators noticed that three people had been drinking, not two, raising suspicion.
During further interrogation, Chaitali confessed to the crime and revealed Siddharth’s involvement. Police later reviewed CCTV footage, which showed inconsistencies in Siddharth’s movements and statements. Confronted with the evidence, Siddharth admitted his role in the murder.
Both Chaitali and Siddharth have been remanded to police custody until November 1, confirmed Police Inspector Deepak Gosavi.
