New Delhi: Team India reached the Asia Cup 2025 Final with a strong win over Bangladesh in Super Four match at Dubai. Abhishek Sharma’s quick runs and Kuldeep Yadav’s smart bowling were highlights of the game.
Strong start from Indian batsmen
Bangladesh won the toss and sent India to bat first. At the beginning, India scored slowly, but soon Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill changed the game. They added fast runs and India reached 72 runs without losing a wicket in the powerplay. Gill got out for 29, but Abhishek kept attacking. He scored a fast 75 from just 25 balls before getting run out. Hardik Pandya’s big shots at the end helped India post 168 runs.
Bowlers guide India to victory
Chasing 169, Bangladesh lost early wickets. Jasprit Bumrah gave India the first breakthrough. Later, Varun Chakravarthy took 2 wickets and Kuldeep Yadav picked 3 wickets, stopping Bangladesh at only 127 runs. India won the match by 41 runs.
India’s record in Asia Cup
India has now reached the Asia Cup final for the 12th time. The team has already won the trophy 8 times — in 1984, 1988, 1990-91, 1995, 2010, 2016, 2018, and 2023. The next match of India in the Super Four will be against Sri Lanka on September 26.
