New Delhi: Election Commission (EC) has announced dates for Bihar Assembly elections 2025. Voting for all 243 seats will happen in two phases: the first on November 6 and the second on November 11. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.

Current Bihar Assembly’s term ends on November 22, so elections need to be completed before that. This election will be closely watched as a multi-cornered contest.

Ruling alliance of BJP and JDU, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Mahagathbandhan, led by RJD and Congress.

Prashant Kishor, former election strategist, will also contest through his Jan Suraaj Party.

Big question remains: will Nitish Kumar’s NDA retain power, or will the RJD-led INDIA bloc take over?

Voter Details

Bihar has 7.42 crore registered voters as per the final electoral roll released on September 30.

Among them, there are 14 lakh first-time voters.
